i will admit i was drawn to this by the word 'crux' because i have used it as a graf tag in the past. As for your photo, it is very good. I like the subject and the light is well balanced with bright on the left dappling into shadow to the right. The off-kilter angle of the cross adds dynamics to a motionless scene. The circles painted on the cross make it colorful and add another dimension to the composition. There is even a hint of a cross in the building in the far background which reinforces the theme established by the foreground 'crux'!
