Description
This is Reed and Ruriko Jackson. (Ruriko's maiden name is Hiroshima). They are Julius, Riley, Rhuben, Patrick, Noah, and Sydney's (biological) parents. Anyway, I wanted to do a pic of the two of them after I had finished the +10 Years+ pics of all of my characters' age progressions from 10 years. Back in September it had been 10 years since my characters' motehra and father died, I had thought about putting them all together and this is the final piece.~tiger002 suggested that I try to make them look proud, so I thought about making a 'screen shot' of them talking about it while they're up in heaven. I don't know why I always use Cherry Blossoms as a background when I picture them in heaven, but I do. And I always like how it turns out.

This is awesome, and I'm glad I could help you with the idea for this one. I really like how this turned out too, I can't help but picturing the Jackson's kids 10 years ago grieving the loss, but then the scene fades to the present, them living their life, growing up into strong men and women. You give me ideas for things...

Thanks so much, it didn't take as long as I thought it would to draw, but it took me a very long time to come up with the poses and how I wanted them to look. But your suggestion was really what spurned the whole thing, so that was really helpful!

It's awesome how we can keep giving each other ideas. I could see why it would take you a while to figure out exactly how you wanted to do it, especially with this being the end to the 10 years pics.
Now if only I had time/motivation to work with all my ideas...

I know, it's really a lot of fun. I'll more motivation for everything when I'm done with school and classes. Not much longer now.

Today was my last day of school, though summer might be busy. Still, I won't have homework to worry about at least, so that will leave me more time to write.

Lucky, my last day of classes is tuesday, and I'm on summer Saturday. But, even with exams coming up, I've been finding some time to write!

I know I'm late replying to this, but how exactly did they die? I want to say it was a car accident, but I might be wrong, and were there any other details about that night?

Depends on whether or not you're looking at it from an elementals aspect. If through elementals then Halo Syndicate, under Gattaca, planted a bomb in the house to get rid of Reed and his family as he knew that they were finding out about elementals and everything. Riley started a small fire as she awakened her powers (although DalFang didn't get to her at the time) and it quickly started to escalate to a bigger fire. Halo Syndicate saw that the fire broke out and though that it would be a good guise to kill them. But he ended up only killing Reed and Ruriko.
If you're NOT looking at it through an elemental view aspect then they died in a house fire that Riley created by playing with matches absentmindedly. (She was mad because she and Rhuben had gotten into a fight with their parents over going to the beach to hang out with their friends even though they were told not to, her playing with matches absentmindedly turns to her nervous habit of flicking open and closed a cigarette lighter later. But she doesn't smoke). The flames caught onto the curtains and started a big fire. While Julius, Riley, Rhuben, Patrick, Noah, and Sydney got out Reed and Ruriko didn't know and went into the house looking for them where they ended up passing out, was sent to the hospital, and ended up dying from smoke inhalation.

Well for something like this, sometimes a long explanation is needed. And thanks for giving me both of them, I didn't think about the fact there'd be a difference, and I'll probably end up referencing both of them at some point through my stories.
