Think about if it always was like this though? If the specters were actually just looking for attention and care, but the Elsens just got burnt of fright, (Which is why people though that they hurt the Elsens) and Batter just came there all like, "ok let's go purify stuff" and all they're doing is defend themselves even though they're lonely and sad? Scout comes and and actually takes care of them, so they see no reason to attack because nobody is hurting them????

And what about those spectres who clobbered an Elsen in Zone 3 to death for no particular reason? Batter has reasons to kill those impure beasts.
