Iβve always had a fascination for anything Egyptian and the gods where just the icing on the cake. Anubis is one of my favorites and any chance I get to draw him Iβm all over it.Related content

So misunderstood. You cannot cross the Duat without his guidance. He is not to be feared, he is not the cause of death. He is merely the guide and transporter of the soul after death has occurred. Modern depictions of Anubis in movies have made him out to be sinister and evil. This is something that the ancients would have found surprising and alarming. He guards the earthly remains of the dead, and in their beliefs, if anything happened to those their soul would suffer the same fate in the afterlife. One of the worst fates one could suffer in the ancient kingdom was to be sentenced to cremation. The condemned would be executed and then his or her body burned very thoroughly. the ashes would be further destroyed by grinding them to reduce the bone fragments to powder. This would all then be scattered to the eastward wind. This destroyed all chances of an eternal afterlife in the west, or Duat. Most believed it even destroyed the condemned persons soul entirely, while some believed it destroyed about two-thirds of it and left the rest to wander in the djedt, the same horrible wasteland that Set was banished to.
I like this drawing. It shows power and I would hate to be a tomb robber seeing that coming at me.Β

WOW!!..Β Nicely done!..
I met that thing..Β It had 40% shorter ears, and a more masculine face and body, slightly wider like a wolf, and no silvery face decoration.. It was the absolute perfect blend between wolf and human male and female, perfectly proportioned..Β It was about 7.5 feet tall..Β It appeared in my living room while I was running research on determining the differences between "ghost, apparition, illusion, delusion, mind form, demon, orb, spirit, soul, and many other items..Β To run the experiments I needed a specimen of each, to assess.. Things got quite scary at times, when things would make their appearance just a few feet from me..Β And especially when I'd be entertaining a female guest, and one of those things would "out of the blue" walk by right in front of us..Β They all seemed friendly..Β I made meeting me be fun for them.. I taught them that my touch was gentle and loving..Β I don't think I was in any danger.. Maybe I was in great danger.. I don't know..?Β One of my hobbies is "making friends of monsters"..Β I've met werewolves up close and personal..Β One screamed in my ear a couple inches away.. It's scream/growl momentarily made all my skin feel like it was in a fire..
I sat in front of a large grizzly at 3:AM in a BC forest..
I walked with a wild cougar in a midnight forest..Β It screamed in my ear about four inches from my ear..Β That was weird.. Cougars have almost no bush manners..Β I've met three in the forest..
Black widow spiders permit me to touch them..
I went for a coffee, and walked back into the living room, and noticed a weird disturbance in the air at my 10
I still don't know why it visited me..?Β This really happened as I say..Β It's truth.. and totally drug free...
You've depicted it very well..Β Yours looks much more feminine than the one I saw..Β The one I saw was too perfect to determine gender...
Met the Sphinx cat.. In the trance, it stood about twenty-five feet tall..Β it raised a paw, as if getting ready to strike me..Β I just stood there passive and quiet like I always do when I meet monsters..Β Down came that huge claws filled paw like lightning right in front of my face, its claw caught the corner stone of the pyramid, ripping out the structure's corner stone.. There was an open cavity containing an assortment of precious gemstones..Β I took seven of them, then noticed the cat was tethered to the pyramid by a strong huge cosmic chain.. I broke the chain, the sleek black giant cat bolted and ran away in 100-foot strides, and gone in a flash...
Met a huge twenty foot across bodied black widow in Magic's chambers..Β That was fun.. but at the time spiders was my biggest fear..Β She rushed up to me extremely fast, and stopped with her front foot just about six feet from me..Β I was studying her leg and foot when she suddenly lunged her huge head and 12-inch diameter fangs at me.. pinching my hips with the insides of her fangs a foot back from the red points, and snapped her head up, flipping me into the air to landing gently comfortable on her back just behind her head, and gave me a scenic route tour of magic world while I gently caressed the hairs on her head, making her dream.. It was a super smooth ride, like riding in a limo..Β When the ride ended I asked the powers that be "Can I keep it?"...
