Description A shot that I took before work one morning. The fog created a beautiful melancholy atmosphere, and I just had to go get my camera and take a few shots before leaving for work.

Not much postwork, just a little levels if I remember correctly.

P.S. - I know some people will be bothered by the composition. Well, I like it that way.

I like the mist and the different tones it creates in the trees. And the sun adds just the right hint of colour well done!

VERY FINE IMAGE; SERENE, SURREAL AND SORT OF SOFTLY INVASIVE MELANCHOLY

I really couldn't care less about any rules when I see images like this one- it's powerful, and expressive, and it shows *your* vision. And that's all that counts.

I love mornings like that, even though it's extremely rare I see them (New Mexico... *sigh*). You captured the feeling very well in this shot. It's one of those feelings that's very hard to describe in words, but a picture... perfect.

Very beautiful and makes me chilly looking at it!! It's your artwork, you do it the way you see fit. If you are not happy with it, don't expect anybody else to be.

Thanks alot! I like it how it is too. I was just waiting for some photo-snob know-it-all to start preaching about all the rules of composition he just learned in Photography 101 class. Hasn't happened yet though. This one must have slipped by them.

Thanks alot! I like it the way it is too. But you know how those first-year photography students around here can be. How they just love to tell you all about the rule of thirds and blah blah whatever. I agree with what Ansel Adams said, that there are no rules to good pictures, only good pictures.

I agree completely mate I first did photography back in high school - in the mid 90's - the first thing the teacher said was "I will be teaching you the basic rules to photography, once you have learnt them - you can ignore most of them as they are only giudelines"
