Description
This is the Cloakshape fighter , from the Star Wars Expanded Universe. I've depicted it by choosing the bits I liked best from the available references, but focusing mainly on the Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels and the New Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels . I also took into account the look of the ship on its first appearance, on the Dark Empire comics, and gave some preference to that version
The sketch is 6.5 cm wide, and was done with a 0.5 mm mechanical pencil with a grade 2B lead, plus a 0.7 mm mechanical pencil for some of the shadowing.

It WAS tricky. One reason I enjoyed it. If it's TIE Defenders vs Y-wings, well, where's the fun? T/I's and T/E3's, now they're a challenge, particularly when the E3's have Mag or Ion pulses

Oddly enough, my first thought was that this was very reminiscent of the art style of the 1980s-era of Dan Dare in the British weekly Eagle magazine.
