The kingfishers around here (belted) will vanish if you so much as point at them.

Thank you a lot. It usually is the same problem here but if you have enough patience and maybe camouflage, then you can get somewhat close (wihtout camo takes way more patience). They usually disappear if someone gets just a step closer than about 50m.

That's the magic ingredient for animal photos
Time unfortunately is pretty scarce, I want to spent more of it with the animals and my camera but I can't.
