I'm honestly really excited about this ^^
(I really appreciate it. I don't usually let people see my art, because at school [since I draw furries and manga-style stuff] people associate that with weird fetishes and they basically make fun of me for drawing. It feels really good to know that someone appreciates my art!)

Ahh super late reply, but yeah! I like cs characters a lot, it's really interesting seeing how people work unique physical traits into one big species.
(I understand. Don't let them get you down, school is one of the worst places for any interests that are mainly online based, tbh. Just keep up the good stuff!)

Original characters in general give you a loooot of freedom to do some fantastic, or uh.. 'unique' design works. It's mainly the reason I want to get better at art. I've got a lot of ideas for characters and worlds I wanna create/animate, and I really wanna shape them up beyond just thinking up all the scenes I'd imagine them to be in while I'm in bed, y'know?

I feel the exact same way!!! And honestly, I do most of my character development/world creation while I'm laying in bed falling asleep. Idk why but it's just so much easier to think at night!

It's quieter, and you're usually pretty dormant, so your thoughts are pretty much the only things on your mind, lol. It's really good for when you just want ideas to run through your head, then do quality control on them later when you've got them placed down somewhere.
I've got a habit of writing down random thoughts I have for characters in sta.sh files. I usually end up looking back at it at a later date and go, "What can I take out of this for actual good use?" It's usually just ramblings, but it helps!
