Bio: Ajax was born 15 years before Big Macintosh in Canterlot. Ajax was always a little on the violent side, constantly picking fights with the Royal Guards to test his strength or with anyone who picked on his little sisters (both are now about Fluttershy's age). His father, General Iron Hide, molded Ajax into the perfect soldier; rough, tough, fast, smart, and loyal to the crown.
After rising through the ranks of the Royal Guards, his father pulled some strings to get Ajax inducted into the Ultrabrony Legion, the best fighting force in Equestria. The day Ajax became a Captain, a large group of Hydras had been detected near the base of the mountain where Canterlot was perched. The Ultrabronies headed out to stop the Hydras in their tracks and then hurry over to Ponyville for the Summer Sun Celebration, only to find that the Hydras were putting up more of a fight than usual.
By the time they had banished the last of the Hydras back to the Evergreen Forest, the Ultrabronies were too late for the Celebration and returned to Canterlot, only to find that Princess Luna had returned.
This caused massive shifts in power within the Spacebrony Leigions; some were considering switching their allegiance over to Luna, should the two Princesses ever fight again. Ajax had heard some of this doubt being spread inside his own battalion, which he quickly delt with. When he tried to report his findings to his father, Ajax was heartbroken to find that his father and his Leigion had already given in to the idea. Outraged, he overthrew his father and took those he could from his father's Leigion into his own. The rest were banished.
