Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) as the new Dark One, from the upcoming fifth season of Once Upon a Time. It has already been announced that her dark powers will be very different from those of Rumpelstiltskin, and although she will try to fight the darkness inside her, she will be consumed by it. I'm really curious to see her, although in Italy the American TV series come with a year's delay (I have yet to see the fourth season). I think Emma's corruption is a great idea, to bring back the attention on her (theoretically the protagonist, but so far cornered by other characters) and reshuffle the cards in the game. In fact, it seems to me that her role has completely reversed with that of Regina: while Emma turns from Savior to Dark One, Regina has redeemed herself and might even become the new Savior.

Update: I thought that the evolution of Emma Swan during the entire series could be summarized as follows:
- First season: "Magic doesn't exist".
- Second season: "Magic exist, but I don't have it and I don't want to have anything to do with it".
- Third season: "Magic exist and I have it, but I'd rather not have to use it".
- Fourth season: "Magic exist and I use it, but I'll try to stay away from the dark arts".
- Fifth season: "I will use the dark magic to carry out my evil plans, muahahahahahaha!!!".
