Caption for pic 13: Eponine (me) dying in "A Little Fall of Rain." Oh, and notice Eponine's cap and Marius' gun lying on the ground on the right... I thought that was pretty cool!Yes, I am uploading some pictures of my Les Mis production! (school edition). You'll see me in here, probably for the first time! I figured it was high time since I'm going to be entering college soon and I can't keep my face hidden forever!
I'm going to major in graphic design and what-not and will probably want to work with my face in the future anyway. Well, if I get stalked as a result of this I guess you could say I asked for it. However, I hope that won't be the case, and I hope I simply make your day by showing you a taste of what I've occupied myself with for the past year and a half or so. Enjoy and God bless!

Well I'm glad you liked the audio, still hard to capture the essence of doing it live and actually playing it. One of my favorite scenes was "Eponine's Errand." Still gives me butterflies just thinking about it!

You are really beautiful, and make a lovely 'Ponine! You look appropriately shocked here, but you also look rather calm and peaceful. Your Marius isn't ugly either. Could he sing well? Often the Marius is high-school stuff is...well... overshadowed by the Eponine. I'm sure you have a beautiful voice.

Funny you should ask, because he was actually brilliant. For a SOPHOMORE he was one of the strongest leads. His voice was practically classically-trained, he'd been a Catholic church-choir-kid. He knew his "Ave Maria"'s. He told me after he got cast that he had nightmares before auditions that he didn't get Marius. Marius was his dream role. He'd read the whole Les Mis book, came memorized the second week of class, and got all those amazing harmonies down. Initially he didn't sing out in practice, but by performances he sang crisp and smoothly. He was a "perfect Marius" and made playing eponine next to him that much easier.
So nope, not overshadowed. We were an epic duo!

In the beginning you just sound so happy and I thought "Wow, that's really cute" Then...oh my goodness THEN! YOU. ARE. AMAZING. (if this is in fact you, but it sure looks like it is.)

well, when I read this comment you truly made my day!! And you made my day again right now. I don't know why recently I haven't been too impressed with my own voice, and rather discouraged... not for anything specific, just an overall discouragement in what I could possibly do in the future (theater-wise) and not feeling I have the chops for even some college and community theater. I think the "enemy" was just trying to discourage me. But you totally turned that around! thank you. awwww
I was not literally crying, but through vocal-acting you can get that affect of choking-up and stuff.

Don't let it get you down. My voice has been going through the same thing recently. I seem to have forgotten how to breathe from the diaphragm... but I'll get it too. You should try again. You can do it.

Yeah. I tried, at least, to keep the costume real dirty. We dipped my entire wardrobe in paints and dirts and ugly stuff. The Marius actor often asked me why my hair smelt bad during "a little fall of rain" and I explained it was my hait, soaked in paints and dirts as well. haha of course, those kinds of remarks gave me extra thoughts to run with. "oh no! Marius thinks I smell!!" XD
PSHH-DRHAHAHAHA! I love randomly quoting LND when I want to annoy myself. Weird, I know. So thanks for making my day! (and yes, I'm the same. I adore Ramin and Erik, but LND Erik is neither one! really....... ??)

Well it's never ever too late until you're like-- what? -- in your late 30's? you can always start singing or whatever and make that dream come true!
ha ha thanks! that's thanks to a friend who mixed it up using some paints. I actually bought one white shirt and since I couldn't find an exact replica my mom took a regular white dress shirt of the same material and cut it up and sowed pleats on it too look identical to the former. They did! and then we added the blood. No one knew they were different shirts until they stopped to think that we had 4 performances.

You're right, and who knows? Maybe something will happen...I already do sing and act...not like in lessons or real stuff, I just can. Like I do it at home all the time. And people ALWAYS tell me I should do theatre...It's kinda annoying when I know I can't. See, it's the lack of time, and the overload of priorities, and the fact that my parents don't really want me in theatre. But maybe someday...*looks hopeful and hears the people sing*
Wow, that's really cool. Personally, I love theatre makeup...back in 8th grade, I convinced a friend to do "A Little Fall of Rain" in a lip sync with me (it was for a speech tournament class, so we couldn't really sing...besides, my friend couldn't 
...Don't laugh, but I made the blood out of mixing shades of fingerpaint (it was all we had, and it's washable!). It actually looked really good...Before the song started, I put the "blood" into the palm of my hand - the audience didn't see - and then when the music started, I fell like I had been shot and clapped the hand to my heart...took the hand away, and stared at the bloodstain that had appeared there. Voila! A custom-made bullet wound! Yay!
...I felt so proud for coming up with that idea...

oh my gosh that's awesome!!! bravo! we actually made our blood paint out of acrylic and a few other random pigments, so fingerpaint is not that far off!
