Merino took in a large breathe of fresh morning air. She closed her eyes as she exhaled, savoring the the feeling of her lungs contracting. It reminded her that she was still alive. Her heart began beating faster as she approached her followers.

Hushed murmurs died down to an eerie silence as Merino stood before them. Her golden eyes scanned the small crowd of attentive sheep before falling upon the cover of her book. Deftly opening the tome to her favorite passage, Merino could feel her anxiety melting away. She smiled, before softly speaking the opening lines she had read a thousand times before:

"Sisters, here we stand witness to the beauty that is Dreamsong. As we bask in the morning rays of Melancholia's sun, may we begin our day with thanks to the Divine for bestowing us, the children of balance, with her love. That we are allowed to savor our first lights breath is a privilege not all enjoy. There in those distant towers, our fellow sisters, mothers, daughters are held captive by those who would do them harm. Let us go forth, with love and balance in our hearts, to lead them down the true path."
