Picture if you will two celebrities.
One is Alison Blaire. A struggling singer and actress whose career took a downward path when she foolishly revealed to the world that she was a mutant. A human being born with an extra ability. A "super power," that sets her apart from contemporary humanity.
In this case she's a Swiss Army Knife of light.
As a singer, as a reluctant but knee-jerk super heroine, ruled by an unrelenting conscience, she is known as the Dazzler.

The other is Johnny Blaze. A world famous motorcycle daredevil. One who made a bad deal. Now he's a human/demon hybrid. A spirit of vengence known as the Ghost Rider.
These two are in a race. The prize. Someone's soul.
Against all odds if the Dazzler wins the reformed super villain gets to continue the path of repentance. She loses and the Ghost Rider will have his vengence.
It's a race she cannot possible hope to win. But she must try. What else can a woman of unrelenting conscience do?
