Great work on the Chuck Jones Tom! I watched Chuck's version of Tom & Jerry on TV as a child in the 70's and 80's and love how he put his own sophisticated Looney Tunes spin on the cat-and-mouse duo. Perfectly timed with subtle nuances like flinching eyebrows, understated takes and even Mel Blanc's vocal effects make them memorable in their own right.

Me to!!The local t.v. station would air them mornings and afternoons in the summer time.One cartoon tom gave jerry to his girl friend.She would not eat jerry.The rest of the show jerry made trouble.At one point tom got so angry at jerry.He blew his top.But things turned when tom girl friend kissed jerry.She liked the taste and decided to eat jerry.Tom all banged and bandaged up.Was happy jerry was trying to get away.He looked behind him and saw tom girl friend coming.Sounding like a race car.Out the door they went tom comes slowly behind them.

Don't get me started on Filmation's Tom and Jerry. LOL
They look just like how Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera originally designed them, but the total lack of movement, when Filmation's infamous stock footage wasn't being used, and lame storylines made it a simply dreadful show. Their version of Mighty Mouse at the same time was light years better.

Oh man, was just thinking this morning about how much I miss watching the old Tom & Jerry cartoons. Went to a diner with the girlfriend a few months back, and they were playing them on all the TVs in the place. We were mesmerised the entire time! Well, I was at least
