Thanks, you can do a lot with more "traditional" techniques, and often it's easier as you can see immediately if it's working.

Thanks. The title did seem to fit the more-than-slightly creepy look this shot has.

Lightpainting is always a hoot. Lightpainting yourself is a slightly fraustrating hoot, and frequently involves a lot of swearing.

Thanks! I have a lot of fun with them. My speciality is keeping models amused by tripping over things in the dark on the way back to the camera...

This is amazing! Like every other piece of work in your gallery! How in the world do you get that effect with the lights? What kind of lights do you use? I've done bulb shots pefore but I've <> never been able to do something as "electric" as that!

Thanks. I use normal pocket flashlights - I have lots of the damn things now.
1. Open shutter.
2. Wave flashlight around.
3 Close shutter.
4. Repeat until you get something you like or the model gets bored and brains you with your tripod.

It's very low-tech - just me, Sarah and a flashlight. The trick is to keep everything still except the light for the duration of the exposure.

don't have to be evil to pose evil sometimes. tame my photo teacher for example. he's one of the most kind hearted people i know. nor does he look evil. but my friend was able to pose him in such a way that he looks like an evil warlock or something XD it's great.

Another amazing piecs of work how do you achieve the lighting effect - is the torch shining directly at the camera?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
DaveMc In reply to King-Speen [2005-03-20 12:23:48 +0000 UTC]
Thanks. You have to avoid shining the torch directly into the camera as that will cause lens flare.
