Gorgeous turquoise colouring and pretty markings on the scales. The webbed forefeet/hands are distinct, and the skull-like facial design brings the mind a bit to a Dunkleosteus and must be a real "charming" sight when the Lindwurm goes to attack in some great thunderstorm, eh? This is a great art piece! The back-spines are nice, too.Β

Very cool design!

They're from Norse and Germanic Mythology.

In Germany we had them too.

You haven't by chance read Mara und der Feuerbringer, or have seen the movie?

I'm not sure if the books are available in other languages than german at this point, but they're awesome.

If you can find one in your language, I highly recommend to give it a try.

The movie is at least available with english subtitles. It differs a bit from the book, but is still awesome.

The reason I brought that up is, that the author has an interesting view on Fafnir, the Lindwurm from the Niebelungenlied.

Maybe his design could be interesting for you.

Sorry for my rambleing.

From Swedish to in fact. Those things was said to live in my country. As late as 1885 a book was published listing 48 eyewitness acounts. Many of the witness was
described having symptoms that today would be classed as post-traumatic-stress-disorder even years after meeting this creatures. But today they are no moreΒ
sightings.
