Very nice to see you going again with a lot of uploads! I really like the intense yellow colour in the background of this one, as you often choose a more monochrome palette. Not that I mind that, no, I think all your paintings are beautiful, but in this case it really lifts out the motif. Great work

Thanks! I've taken a break from uploading new work for a few months, but I've still been busy producing stuff. Hopefully I'll get a few more finished before the end of the year!

While stylistically different, I find your imaginative work
to parallel that of Frieda Kahlo ~ albeit her's is a great deal more
painful and less humorous...truly, not humorous AT ALL!!!

Thanks Richard - I like Frieda Kahlo's work. From what little I know of her life she had a much more painful time of it than I ever have! For me though, the humour in my work is just as important as
the dark or disturbing aspects. It's nice to have both (ideally within the same picture).
