Description i am particularly proud of this piece.

it's the cover to the hawkman story that i'll be doing for my portfolio.

it took me about 5 hours and is all done in hb pencil.

tell me what you guys think.

by the way, i don't know who the girl is, i made her up.

yeah, i did.

it took about 3 hours on the wings alone.

awesome details, awesome shadings. yep i'm also a bit buggered by the girl's left leg. But overall this is a stunning piece. the wings looks magnificent!

For it to be done in only a HB pencil that is really something to look at. The shading is exceptionally good as well as the posture of the figures and the creature's facial expression is marverlous, you have brought his frustration and sadness out very well. (reminds me of King Kong heh) The scene is very alluring and the amount of detail that I see shows time and effort put into this and you deserve a thumbs up. Good job!^^

Thats really sweet man, the wings must of taken for ever. Comp is great and your anatomy is the best i've seen on any of your pieces. Great job man!

the girl left leg is way too small - not proportionnated to the other one.
but for the rest, splendid!
I really like the work on the muscles - they look damn vivid and strong. Their pose look natural - and great angle. I really like the work in the wings, every feathers.. pretty!

the left leg is not way too small, it's a bit smaller than the right.
