Honestly, this picture could not be more perfect. Your ode to both Rockwell and the Breakfast Club are both spot on.Β

The line edges I just usually use a sharpie and then go over them again with painting with a small script brush. It works!

Excellent execution and work and theme.
I think that undertaking a painting with a mirror is an expert technique, because you have to view things in your mind from two different positions at once. With awesome skills like this...are you a spy?

Man, that is a perfect parody of that norman rockwell painting! having molly ringwald as the unsure girl was a great decision!

you're welcome! I like your take on classic and modern masterpieces. they are kind of like how modern artists would interpret the same themes. great stuff, dave! hey, please when you get a chance take a look at my painting "Mindstorm 3" at this [link] and let me know what you think. I value an artist of your calibers opinion very much! Thanks again!

I really like how you did the reflection, especially in corresponding one side to the other. Rockwell to Ringwald was a great choice.

AH! That is my favorite Rockwell painting. Now it's got Molly in it! SeriouslyβI know how hard it is to emulate Norman Rockwell's work, and I think you did a pretty good job while still retaining your own personal style.
It's gorgeous.

Good times, seeing these faces made pertinent again-- it's enough to make you wish Molly's Mom would've let her take that Laura Dern role in Blue Velvet and do the Edie Sedgewick biopic instead of one more movie with Andrew McCarthy...
The color choices and the grace with which each detail's been rendered here is just astonishing, and a real inspiration to see...
