oh yeah....I, too think Minolta to be among the rolls royces of cameras, their lens design is so far ahead of other manufacturuers. I have used an old XK, XE-7, and XD-11 for over 20 years and have taken them into the worst of environments, real workhorses. I have sold all of them as I tired of 35mm for some reason. All Rollieflex and 4by5 again........BUT >> I now want to invest in a MAXXUM9

if you shoot "off the hip" like this you have a natural ability to find harmony in the viewfinder.....this is among the finest pictures of a mountain i have EVER seen, it blows Art Wolfes crap out of the water. it is ethereal and so much about the mood of the mountain itself

Thanks for comment. Actually the weather was pretty good. We were skiing above clouds most of the time and temperature was just one or two degrees below zero. The picture is taken late afternoon - it makes the picture that dark.
