Description Hintertux, Austria

This weather effect took no more than half minute. I took the picture while being pulled by a tow, so I couldn't do much with the composition.

Minoltas are great. I bought Dynax 7D (i think it is the same as Maxxum 7D) just before Minolta was taken over by Sony. I was kind of dissatisfyed and i worried if i would be able to get new lenses and othes stuff for camera in the future. But when my Dynax accidently fell on paving stone from my unclosed backpack i knew every other camera would be broken. Dynax was all right... And Minolta was my first SLR. My father gave me old SRT 101 (i don't know anything about that model but the number ) to learn how the shutter speed and exposition work. It was all manual even the focusing was just like that. So I have a soft spot for Minoltas..

oh yeah....I, too think Minolta to be among the rolls royces of cameras, their lens design is so far ahead of other manufacturuers. I have used an old XK, XE-7, and XD-11 for over 20 years and have taken them into the worst of environments, real workhorses. I have sold all of them as I tired of 35mm for some reason. All Rollieflex and 4by5 again........BUT >> I now want to invest in a MAXXUM9

if you shoot "off the hip" like this you have a natural ability to find harmony in the viewfinder.....this is among the finest pictures of a mountain i have EVER seen, it blows Art Wolfes crap out of the water. it is ethereal and so much about the mood of the mountain itself

Thanks for comment. Actually the weather was pretty good. We were skiing above clouds most of the time and temperature was just one or two degrees below zero. The picture is taken late afternoon - it makes the picture that dark.

Really nice shot, at first i took it to be an abstract before examining it more closely. Nice work

Thanks. It really looks abstract at the first sight.
