Yea.. I walked a bunch of em.. then when I came home.. I found three ticks on me.. bah.. (had them tested for lyme..and they were negative..thank god).. freakin things take the joy out of the outdoors

I dunno about that - Mom got bit on the head and then again on the hand, by huge centipedes when she was camping last fall, and don't get me started even thinking about the spiders... shudder.

Heh.. we have a reasonably sandy beach where I am..but the waterline and most of it have the rocks you've got. but that beach down there in Jersey is beautiful

yeah it looks almost tropical, in the south we have mostly pebbly beauches (except the south west) and some of the scottish beaches are quite sandy which is weird since its colder up there
