It was.. the town has subsequently banned any fishing at the seawall after 50 years of people fishing there!.. Bastids!..

yea.. I raised hell but to no avail... we have two fishing piers but they are both on the Housatonic and not the open sound so I had to buy a park permit for Bridgeport to go fish in Seaside park...

When I was much younger I lived to fish. I was really into river fishing with a Colorado spinner and my Garcia Mitchel reel/pole. I also enjoyed fishing for bullhead catfish. Of course that was lake fishing usually off a cliff edge. Those were the days.

yea.. I fished all over.. when I was young.. we lived up in watertown NY on lake ontario and did a lot of fishing for perch and sunfish.. then we lived in Anchorage Alaska.. (dad was air force).. and we fished for steelhead and dolly varden and a lot of salmon .. silvers and such.. was a great place for it.. here i fish both fresh and saltwater because both are available...now that Im retired.. I just keep the gear in the car and if i see a spot i drop a line!

I've never heard of dolly varden...ha ha. Did you mean dolly pardon? Interesting name for a fish.....or did I miss the pun? I used to fish for blue gill (sunfish) and then use parts for catfish bait. I haven't fished for a very long time unfortunately. A meditation I have missed. I have never fished in salt water. The majority of my fishing was in Colorado and northern New Mexico.

It looks like it could be similar to Coccany Salmon (I'm sure I spelled it wrong and/or it might be slang) which is a type of trout I believe. Once again, a very long time ago.

Theyre smaller usually.. not familiar with that kind.. we would get Coho(Silver salmon) off the docks in Seward . and up in the inland rivers we got mostly sockeye during spawn runs... ...

Yea.. I caught a couple of undersized Striped Bass.. they have to be 29 inches or better to be legal.. mine were 15-18 inches..
