Well this was for ~Angelkissedhorse 's contest where you draw a horse with cat markings,but then i realized that the horse had to be dark in color X(
i hope she'll still take it, i worked really hard on this. I felt so bad for only posting pictures that were put together in like a few minutes that i really wanted to do something awsome. So i decided to try to make the horse look at least a little realistic with a furry coat. I got a little lazzy on the BG but i think it suits the picture well enough ^^ Any way wish me luck and please comment! like i said above i worked really hard on this

the head looks more like a donkey,but the ears are a bit small...i am a equestrian so i would notice these things, other wise this is really good (Love the idea of a horse w/cat markings!)

Very nice, from the thumbnail I thought it was a real picture if it hadn't been for the spots. ^.^
As for critique, maybe the horse's face should be longer, I don't know if you had a ref pic for it or not, maybe yours looked short, but that's the only thing that looks a little off to me. Hope it helps! ~,~

This is very well done. I like the way you handled your linework and the colors came together nicely. And I think your comics would look much better if you added a bit more weight and solidity to your linework. I just now thought of that. But I still like this piece very much!

you mean make the comic lineart more like this? or unlike this?

UNlike. From what I've seen, comic artists make their lines solid and with more weight. The linework is one of the elements that defines the purpose of the piece. The linework for this one, to me, is perfect because it gives that gentle soft feeling it portrays. It'd look a little awkward if the lines were solid and heavy, paired up with the use of color. I think trying to smooth out the linework for your comics would help as well, but I probably already said something like that. I'm sorry if I got you a little confused.
