So glad that I got this done. Felt like my eyes would go cross if I stared at the butterfly wings any longer.Materials Used:

What gorgeous lights and darks within each color. Something I particularly love is the dappled blue on the biggest butterfly's wings. I love seeing watercolor used so well.

Awww thanks so much.. I was originally wanting to do butterflies that ranged in more colors but I only had references of blues, oranges, and yellows.

amazing, i thought the large grey one was a leaf for a moment and then realised that the blue was coming of it

It's actually a very large black butterfly with colored spots but with the way that the light was hitting it, it looked more grey in the reference picture.
