Sgt Flash was my first GI Joe figure! (would have been Snake Eyes but asked to get the ESB Hoth Luke instead). Pre-"kung-fu" grip as well as the new "kung-fu" swivel arm grip.
Great to see all the GI Joe laser rifle troopers here.

thanks RFC! i liked the figures, but always thought the bright chest and limb paddings defeated the purpose of wearing olive drab uniforms. in the case of sci-fi, his uni was terrible and something had to be done.

Actually, there was one episode where the Joes' budget got cut due to the machinations of Cobra; one side effect was that the Joes had no ammunition for training; they showed quite clearly that their weapons fire regular ammo, so they must just be REALLY BRIGHT tracers...

as a kid it really bothered me. it totally diminished any need for flash, who i thought was cool.
also, pretty much every character in the cartoon ended up using a gun design based of snow jobs gun. lazy animators.

They were, but hardly any of 'em hit ANYTHING. HEck, they were lucky to shoot the tires out.
