I think it might be safe to say my hiatus is in the process of ending. I'm sorta back, sorta not (maybe I'll write a journal about everything soon).

Anyway, here's a random drawing. It's dedicated to the watchers of course and it's not really creative or anything (but I wanted it to be of high quality because I do feel bad for not getting hq art to you guys in such a long time)...I had this idea of a futuristic game arena for like...dodgeball or something but I couldn't follow through with the idea COMPLETELY. I had disc wars (from Tron:LEGACY) in mind (hence the title of this deviation being from my favorite track from the soundtrack). Hope you enjoy the pic and thanks for any comments and favs

Oh wow, where do I start with this one? First off, the movement of her hair is spot on, her figure and anatomy are beautiful, her expression is both calm and intelligent. I totally adore the cat helmet and the suit is really cool. Looks like high-tech dodge ball to me.

This is a really cute design. It might be pretty simple, but I really like it! I especially love the way her hair looks and those balls that she's holding(?).

What canvas size and DPI do you use? I've been trying to better myself at digital artwork but i never really knew how people got such high quality images.

That being said, I love the pose. nothing is perfectly straight and the feeling of movement is really shown. Its very balanced, though the right side has a little more negative space it still feels nice.
Other than that nothing else to really comment on.

Btw, any chance you'll pick up on animation again?

oh hey Xin! for this image the image is at 2143x3000 @300dpi. During the sketch, it was probably 300% smaller at 72dpi because its comfortable for me to start working small and then scaling up after I'm satisfied with the sketch.

Thanks for the words and animating demands too much time for me to focus on it at the moment

Oh I do hope your back I still look at 'My Kind of Girl' wistfully when I'm feeling low. Take your time though obviously.
Analytically, this is much more defined then your usual works in my opinion. I still love it merely making an observation O Great One.

in GIMP, theres a noise filter called "hurl". I use that on an empty layer thats set to 'overlay' at 60%opacity. I usually lower the contrast of that layer too

In photoshop, that's just the Gaussian noise filter. Might help with answering this question in future!

as for the TAB project, I'll need to be in a position in life where I can dedicate (almost) 100% of my efforts towards it. Although, I should draw Gibson and the rest more often (she's always fun to draw)
