Description Agent 47 is awesome. More awesome in the games but I really liked this picture [link]
so I wanted to use it for practice.

I used Corel Painter which I only got recently but I'm totally in love with it.

If anyone wants details on techniques used let me know.

If you'd like your own painting in this style I do commissions starting at just £15 depending on size/complexity.

Thanks.

Mainly captured bristle in acrylics and detail oils brush. Once I have the colour on I turn the resaturation on the captured bristle down to zero and use it for blending. Gives a great texture.

I used layers to start off but flattened it early on so you get some colours to slightly run and interact as I wanted to mimic a real canvas painting.

At the end I applied surface texture using image luminance and reduced the "amount" quite a lot from the default. This brings out the brush strokes really well.
