Myself (as Feesa from the novel "Survivor's Quest") and my friend, Amy (as Slave Leia) at Star Wars Celebration IV.

My dress was speed-sewn overnight and this photo really doesn't do it justice, in my opinion. Mostly because it fails to provide a good view of the ridiculous sleeves. They're double-layered with a pointed, grey inner sleeve and the humongous, yellow outer sleeves, which are actually longer than the dress itself.

Amy's costume is part of the reason I ran short on time. It was something of a collaboritive project and one of the single most amusing things I've ever constructed. In lieu of any metal-working knowledge or time and equipment for resin casting, we took the cheaper, faster way out and constructed the entire thing from craft foam and caulk. Aside from some minor structural integrity issues (which only cropped up after a few days of wear), it worked out stupendously.
