Hey all!First off, lemme start by welcoming any new readers out there that have tumbled in because of article [link] in THE FRESNO BEE! Thanks for coming! Now put your bags down, get all comfy-like and settle-in because it's time to start a new DEAD DAYS series!
For all you regulars out there, you know the drill: something nuts happens, hilarity ensues. Ready? Alriiight! I bring to you part 1 of the kickass new "4-Bit Fanatic" series! A series that examines a lifelong obsession for many boys (and confused girls)! Yep it's hard to deny the inherent radicality of having a big, beefy, space consuming authentic 1980's arcade machine in ones living room (or bathroom), so our boy here is faced with the opportunity of a lifetime!
What game lies inside of this gigantic cabinet of dreams? Mappy? Defender? Ugh, it's not Ring King is it? Stay tuned to find out!

It's scary how close that got to an early childhood experience of mine. That Yard Sale not only had a working Popeye machine (Still relatively new) but it also had assorted weapons not normally seen outside of the Mirage TMNT comics. = P
With any luck, the machine will be something random and rare - Dragon's Lair or Tron. As long as it isn't Crystal Castles, all should be well. = P

Arcade machines are super awesome. I'd love to have one in the house one day. Like a Pac-man or one of the Mortal Kombats... before they got lame. Yeah, that'd be sweeeet. 
This is goin to turn out to be one of my favorite series, I just know it. I adore garage/yard sells. I haven't found anything too freakishly awesome at any just yet. I can't wait to see what comes of this. That last panel killed me.

there's this biiig abandoned warehouse near my dad's house that I go into sometimes ( people aren't supposed too...but who can't resist a DO NOT ENTER sign covered in gaffiti?)
anyway, it has a ton of olllld arcade games in there....most of them probably aren't functional. but they have like...the old original mario vs. DK games and stuff. they're all covered in dust and some have been stolen but...it's pretty neat.
uhh...yea. I felt like this related to your comic for some reason....hm..
well ANYsnorkel, great strip, I'm a regular since.....well I showed up during THE FLAMING POOSTERS one. and I've been around since then. =}

heh heh. yes. it's a very cool place and a couple of friends and I call it the "moose building" because it says MEESE in big letters on the side....we figure meese is multiple moose, and the building is one of many meese....

Heh, a friend of mine had an arcade or two in his back yard house near his pool. I was so jealous of that fact. I said to myself that I'd kill to have an arcade station, heh... and so I did.... mahahahaha!
I wonder though if it even works...
Anyway, this is sure to be the start of another great adventure.
