Cool shot. My family was driving through their once when our SUV had a rear tire literally fly off the vehicle and roll away. Otherwise, it was a nice visit. Prettier than eastern Montana.

haha i'm glad you think so, I actually just set my camera on top of the car while we were driving.. the badlands is a scary place to have your tire fling off at.. i'm glad you're still in one piece

Ooooooh, that is brave to do with your camera. I would probably manage to somehow launch it into the ditch or into the back of a pedestrian's head. : P

And indeed, I'm also glad to still be in one piece. (I hate this annoying smiley that DA has for the : D emoticon. )

sad to say most of the tourists that come around could use a good flying camera to the back of their head.. its like come on people, that plastic cowboy hat you just bought doesn't make you a better tourist, and those cowboy boots that you dont know how to walk in just makes it real tempting to run you over when you crowd up the street. (i apologize if you found yourself buying cowboy boots and a plastic hat when your tire flew off, and i further apologize if you almost got ran over with a pickup because of it) lol anyways my eyes don't bounce when i smile either, but just because i can..

Hey now! I'm not some city-bred dude rancher. Actually, I lived the majority of my life in NW Montana at the southern end of the Cabinet Mountains. Almost all of the tourists there were incredibly obnoxious, always coming in with outfitters and shooting animals on our property, or clogging up the streams and overfishing the areas. I generally ended up traveling way back on the Forest Service roads and then hiking through the woods for hours, all to reach a spot where there wouldn't be any tourists, or any other people, for that matter. Of course, I once got two flats 50 miles from the nearest paved road, at dark.

I think that living in the rural West breeds some asocial behavior traits into people, like chucking cameras from speeding cars. Oh, and just so you know, your state's winters are just stupidly cold. (And no, I'm not thinking about licking anything right now.)

Later!

haha, that cracks me up. yes, our winters are usually stupidly cold, and if you stuck your tounge out like that it would probably get frozen to your upper lip, and then you wouldn't be able to lick anything.. and that would be sad. The ability to lick is a wonderful gift that we all take for granted.

That last line is going to make for my best facebook status update. Hope you don't mind my blatant plagiarism.

LOL you flatter me with your blatant plaigerism. now i feel like i've made a public service announcement and people everywhere will appreciate the creative uses of their tounges.
