There is no outsmarting needed for Iron Man. He would just blast Batman away, and kill him in one second. Another thing, although Iron Man is self absorbed, he is a genius, and would not be tricked so easily.
I would also like to point out the box office is definitively in Iron Man's favor as of right now.

you make good points, i'll admit, but you are sadly mistaken. iron man is extremely technologically gifted, but as of yet, his most well thought out plans basically go "shoot stuff, shoot more stuff, use megaweapon that should have been used in the middle of the fight but needed dramatic tension to make it seem a lot cooler than it is". yeah, there was the scene in iron man 1 with the suit freezing, but he only figured it out because he was stupid enough to do it himself! batman is a genius in every aspect. detective-work, engineering, mathematically, verbally,plus he's built iron man-esque suits of equal to greater power to tony's anyway! (using alien tech mixed with his own work). so basically what we're dealing with is two iron men, one of them with access to alien technology and much better at hand to hand combat skills, and the other one with access to a fake british butler and scwarma.

Fine. A real butler and no shwarma. Better? I've always liked the movie version better. Iron man in the comics always felt like a Bruce Wayne ripoff to me. Making him a dick gave him an interesting spin. Plus that suit that Hides in his bone marrow, you have to admit, is a little creepy.

100 ton strength, mach 8 speeds, mountain busting lasers. how can he lose? besides, yah knw, batman bieng plot-shielded like hell. how can he outwit someone as smart as himself? how can batman win without any preptime or knowledge of the person he is fighting?

This would end in a draw, if a no blood match is involved. Unlike batman, Iron Man is not afraid to kill his villains or any form of an enemy. And I think that's where he would have the upper hand. If one is not afraid to kill then there is no limit to what one would do.

Batman is Sherlock Holmes as a Ninja. At least that's how I've always thought of his mentality. He could easily outwit the self absorbed Iron Man with little effort. At least in my imagination! Glad you liked the drawing!
