I interviewed 74 year old Minh Nhung in her garden at her home in Dar Nang, central Vietnam. I had arranged to see her because I wanted to find out more about the activities of the shadowy all female secret undercover unit - the Ba Na Hills Commando. Now a grandmother of 12, she looks very attractive and her looks belie her advanced years. She serves me tea and asks me what I want to know. She tells me that the unit was hand-picked from regular units. "They wanted to bear down on collaborators at the air base. Our job was to intercept locals working at the air base and, er, terminate their employment" she smiled.

She had and envelope full of pictures and started to show me them.
