I love your work !

May I ask how you get that kind of smooth finish in water based clay ?

thanks well it's not as difficult as it seems, i just gently polish it with fingers, sponge and various brushes

Really impressive work. Are you working as a full time sculptor, or having to fit it in around another "crap" job like me?

It's a real shame you can't get enough commisions to allow you to do this full time, your work is some of the best I've seen. You have real talent, stick at it and hopefully you'll get the break you deserve.

Impressive! I never work with air dry clay because, I'm always worried it would dry out before I finished it. Not to mention, I didn't think you could get this sort of detail out of it. 0_0

thanks well, i prefer water-clay because i can work with it faster than with plastilin cracking while drying is a big minus and problem for it, but if you add some linseed oil or glycerin it won't crack and if i'm working for a long time on one piece i use plastic bags to cover it and it doesn't dry after that ah, btw you can try this recipe: www.makeup-fx.com/waterclay.ht…

That is amazing. Is that what you use? I use polymer clay. I know it is expensive, especially if you're doing larger scale sculptures. I just love the consistency of it. I'll keep it in mind If I ever have to do a large sculpture tho. Thanks!

actually no, for this piece i used some kind of prepared mix for sculptors called "modelin" whick i bought in local store, but i think it also has some oils inside and one thing i clearly know that the base ingredient is yellow water-clay(mixture of white and a little bit of brown clay)
