there's something very lonely about that empty chair and something very resigned about that mild, routined motion of chopping things in your slippers. this is the kind of rare photograph that makes you wonder what happened before it was taken. I'm impressed! Great picture, I feel sad for her.

In the composition, I adore the position of the light right over the woman's bowed head. It's reminiscent of a domestic raincloud hanging over her.
