Just a heads up this is rather my subconscious as I drew this drawing. My thoughts and experiences poured into this drawing.www.youtube.com/watch?v=NogZeI… <----------(Inspired by)
February 14th a day to attempt to reach a desired one or beloved one. I put my heart and soul into people that I care for. My significant other, my friends, my family. I do anything for them. Although I do these things...... I always have this fear. What if I am doing all these sacrifices for someone who just.. is going to forget me, toss me away hurt me...leave me when I'm not needed. You give them your money, your piece of mind, your blood and sweat... and yet the factor remains you can always be discarded.... I say that because it's happened with almost everything I held dear at a point in my life. I was pathetic I cried for these people. Knuckles is gullible because he trusts people he's also protective because he's been deceived and lied to. Like Knuckles I always try to have someone as my "M.E." but I found it to never work... I protect them from all I think is wrong, fight for them, do everything in my power to make sure they are more than okay...Yet I come off as an overprotective asshole. See.. What I figured is that Knuckles Protects the M.E. partially because it's his duty but also because he knows it can never betray him... I wish to one day find that type of person that will never betray me... Who I never have to doubt... Give me peace I am looking for... I hope you guys can find that which I still seek.

WOW, most everything you said rings true for me too. It really hurts when you invest SO MUCH in others... and all for naught.
I've had people leave me on a whim, having decided -for one reason or another- that I'm suddenly someone they no longer want to associate with. And then death, it too has taken from me people I've cared about.
This has left me to conclude that, one way or another, I'm always going to get left behind. At least while we're all still living in this finite world.

I have a similar feeling, it can mess with you a lot but I'm very certain we all find that one 'M.E.' in our lives. Which your opinion is on Knuckles is extremely similar to mine. Which I think people tend to believe that he is simply gullible but the trust is what I feel is what it should be. So it's very nice and inspiring to see a Knuckles fan who see's things this way. I am hoping things will be better for you man.

but also so sad, naaaw DTP, don't be sad... A lot of people has similar problem. Believe or not, I have some kind of curse of trying to protect person I like, being too loyal, too loving, I gave her almost all I had - money, time, home, feels... and it all stabbed me into my heart as the one decided she doesn't need me anymore. But that doesn't mean you are wrong person. You are RARE kind of person I adore...
And remember these words which one echidna said to me:
"Happiness is not about having all you want. You may never find love, justice or peace... but important is to LIVE fully even with that you have. Happiness is to learn how to be happy and live fully with the little we have."

Well, maybe we are these kinds of people who doesn't have hundred of friends but a few true friends. And this is more for me than knowing hundred of false ones... don't make them just using you. After experiences you will be able to recognise the bad ones for you in the crew. Simple test is that friend is who gives you something back, who likes you even he doesn't need you for anything that time (I mean for example these people who likes you only for doing homework for them so they doesn't need to do anything). Have some friends who you really trust, who you share hobbies with and who with you are not afraid of talking about anything even more personal. Spend time with people who are fulling you by strenght and motivation, not with the ones who drains you as you are trying to make them happy and they doesn't care about your happiness...
Now you are saying "If only it was so simple...". I know, friend. But never think you are bad person. You carry for others. You are so warmhearted and you have loving soul. Don't let bad people take that from you. I have faith in you, Wes ^^

See, I guess that was my issue. I mean typically in any school where I've ever been middle school, high school, and college I was remotely hanging out with almost every person in the building.
Not saying I was popular per say but I guess I felt this false love of sorts...?
But into certain people in the crowd I gave them my all. Year after year I'd practically take care of them financially and emotionally. I don't typically use the word brother/sister or any type of word to describe a non-blood related relative to anyone(Like significant other counts as well). The term to me is rather serious if I consider you brethren.
Guess I was wrong with calling them that and now I'm left with this bitter taste of being used and I can't help but to get enraged with all these thoughts on how I wasted my resources to make someone who didn't deserve me happy.
I appreciate your kind words man and I definitely just have to continue to try to keep my mind straight and just keep doing what I use to.
I have to build up my emotional wall even higher to block out these deceivers.
