Description So this graphic is based on a French song I really like, Aux Sombres Héros de l'Amer by Noir Désir.
Basically, the title is a wordplay: the French word for the sea is la mer and here, the word used in the title is l'amer, which means bitterness. Those two words in French are phonetically similar, and are used to express the bitterness the people he's talking about in the song felt, and how difficult it was to go on with all the pain they felt, as though they faced the stormy sea.

I felt that the lyrics were fit for Hook, with his search for revenge and the pain of Milah's death, and how he lived 300 years with this feeling and still went on because that's what drives him.

Love this. It's absolutely wonderful. I feel for him. He's such a broken and damaged man. I know that it will take a while, but I'm confident that will find a reason to want to live again. Thanks for making such a heartfelt art of our favorite pirate.

Thank you !
I totally agree. Milah's death truly broke him, and he recently hit rock bottom with how he was ready to die. He doesn't think he has anything to lose, but I'm sure it'll change. Killian needs to build himself back up !
