Cold Shadow

Here comes the man, thin shadow in a long trench coat,
An old blue scarf embracing his denuded throat.
Curly hair black as night, cold and piercing grey eyes,
The pale-skinned silhouette is here to analyze.

He considers himself as a sociopath.
Needing no one to assist him along his path,
Alone protects him, keeps him safe from feeling.
Whatever he says, he can’t stop his heart beating.

He invented the job to keep his mind busy,
But occasionally, it is not that easy.
A single day without a case and he gets bored,
Going round in circles, like a tireless caged bird.

Holmes, the one and only Consulting Detective.
His power of deduction is quite seductive.
Even if by his archenemy he is mocked,
As John Watson or the Woman, I am Sherlocked!
