My first real attempt at realism. Not exactly realism, but it's the best I can do right now. I have to learn how to really paint realistically (though I don't intend on doing it often). Β Anyway, you probably can't tell but this is Sweet Baby Dylan O'Brien, my biggest celebrity crush. I adore him and had to try and paint his lovely face. It was supposed to double as a picture for a new character who was inspired by him, not sure if I'll do that now lolArt (c) Tone-of-Echoes

For your first real attempt this is very well done (and OMG Dylan 3 @). Lol I think I'll end this comment here instead of going on a long ramble of why I consider Dylan my sweet baby too XP

Hm. If I may nitpick a bit...? Hand is a bit small, eyes a bit awkward and hair looks like it's on backwards. The top half of his face looks a bit cartoon-y to me, too. Textures on the hair, skin and clothing are done pretty well. Lips look natural. As always, I love your shading and lighting, but I think the bit of lighting on his shoulder could be a bit more smoothed out. But all in all, for your first real attempt at realism, I think you're pretty darn good!

That's actually the exact size of his hand and basically how his hair looked though (just not as well done) XD I was staring at a photo of him the entire time and the lighting was from slightly behind his head and above. But thanks, I'll be working on it over time, trying to improve things. But I'm probably going to leave it for a few days, mayhaps come back see what I can do about it. I just need to actually learn how to paint realism since I don't really know what I'm doing D:

Lol yeah. I've been trying to change it for a while but whenever I made icons they were too large and I couldn't get them down for some reason. But I finally found a small one that I liked enough to use so I changed it. I also haven't been on much to remember changing it either XDD

lol. i've been meaning to give it a try. keep starting an ep in season 1 and stopping half way through the ep. yeah i don't even know the guy's name, just the pairing he's in i blame tumblr Β yeah icons are difficult and annoying. though i haven't had too much trouble with stills. it's the animated ones that give me most trouble.
