Ooh yeah, this one was a bugger to draw. As some of you would have realised, it's modelled from Escher's "Relativity" work where the stairs are everywhere, in all kinds of dimensions. I used this idea for the Chariot because it's about motivation and overcoming obstacles - even gravity!
And reversed it also means losing your sense of direction, so I thought the mutliple staircases would therefore work both ways.My head hurts.
THE CHARIOT: self-confidence, determination, triumph over obstacles, willpower, self-control, controlling one's own destiny
INVERTED: pressure, lack of self-discipline, no clear focus, scattered energies, loss of direction

I would love to have full size prints of "House of Stairs" (cause...well, the little creatures are so cute!) and "Reptiles" (more cute creatures, incidentally!); maybe when I stop being a poor student.

I never remember half the names of his work, but I love the one where the hands are drawing each other - and theres a bunch of ones where loads of birds are flying but go all ... weird. Hard to explain
