Lines from a couple of my poems:

Still I’ll skip and cavort as you snack on my leg-meat,
As you relish my raw rump, I’ll wriggle and writhe -
Sinuous and supple, I’ll squirm and I’ll struggle
Till I’m crushed in your coils, while you eat me alive!

'Andromeda's Challenge'

No-one could warn her
how it will be now,
how savage the seizure,
how cruel the prey-play!
...

Till, score settled, sea ebbs,
crabs scavenge spattered crags,
gulls squabble, girl-scraps
scatter the sand.

'Sea Sacrifice'

hi there Bastein
yesterday i saw your interview in Level up and it was a really honor to hear, see and learn how you approach your art, theΒ  way of constant trying and discovering stuff while working is something i took for myself. it is something that i searched for in a while - who to make the digital art works feel less perfect and more expressive of the artist's view.
thank you for the sharing

i really like the intensity of this picture, the first feel i saw is like capturing the character and even thought the cracks on the stone are arrows that been shot on her.

can i ask you a technical question that i sometimes having problem with?
how do you work with your monitor and colors? do you calibrate your monitor? I'm asking you this because your colors are very good and "alive", which is a thing that i sometimes miss in my works after i edit it in photoshop. sometimes its really discouraging to see a big color differences from the work on photosop to what i save and upload later.

if you have the time, i would really like to know your answer,
have a nice weekend

It reminds me of a fairy tale where a cecaelia and a sailor fell in love, so she went ashore with him and hid her tentacles under a black dress much like Melusine but was eventually discovered when her husband was away and her remains left on the cliffs for him to find. Her family wasn't exactly thrilled so a week later a ship was discovered with the dismembered remains of the crew scattered on the deck because her family had taken revenge on the guilty party and their associates.

Outstanding, just crazy how you rendered the rocks and everything while retaining a painterly look. It has a strong classy vibe, it reminds me of Hitchcock's "The birds", it's got some mythological elements in it while retaining a distinct modern touch as well, but it has a VERY BIG flaw too: I whish I could admire it in its original uncompressed res X) One last thing: even composition wise this one is superb!
