First off- ignore the fact there's no shadow under kittybee eue" Too lazy to go fix that.Anyways, this little fuzzy thing is actually an inside joke between me and two friends. I got bored and felt like drawing it for real and it turned into this /o/
Truthfully I only like the wings eue" They're probably not accurate to bee wings though- I was using cicada wings as reference because I couldn't find bee wings OTL

Well, it doesn't have that same, My-God-I-Can't-Stop-Staring-At-It quality as Stilt-Cat, but it's still one of the best creatures you've done. At first, it kind of sounds like something that shouldn't work (Bees & Cats... wha?), mostly because people don't think of bees as furry, but the coloring of the fur is what really sells it. There are black cats, there are tan/orangeish/yellow cats, so combine that with bees genuinely having fur (or something fur-like), and it gives it that greater degree of plausibility.
A solid color background would have been fine (sort of like an entry in a bestiary). When you first mentioned drawing a background, I think all I could picture was a honeycomb, but having it fixate on a flower just adds a new dynamic to the whole piece (it's cute for a cat to do, and commonplace for a bee to do). Again, it's two things that shouldn't go together turning out to have more in common than we normally think.
