Tnx! Well, for now just "The First Law" trilogy and "Best Served Cold", but I'm planning to start soon with "Shattered Sea" trilogy, and after that to dive in "The Heroes" and "Red Country". They've been on my shelf for far too long.

He is coming out with the next series that will take place in Talins.  Apparently Boaz takes offense at Monza defying him.

Really? That would be totally awesome! Would love to read about Monza again.
Though, I've heard Joe's planning new "The First Law" trilogy, to be sequel to previous trilogy.

Yeah, Monza is a good character, but a bit twisted, especially after dumping Shivers.  I'm interested in seeing what Bayaz is going to try to do over there, especially since Shenkt is going to be in the way.  He is doing a sequel to the First Law trilogy??  Hmmm.....that would be very interesting since we do not know what happened to Ferro after she headed back south to deal with the Ghurkish and Mamun

dejan-delic In reply to elcid423 [2016-12-15 23:53:34 +0000 UTC]

Well, after all, he did try to kill her, so that's right decision if you ask me.
Ah, Bayaz, that old, dirty bastard...I'm sure he'll find some place to stick his greedy fingers...

Yes, "The First Law" trilogy sequel #2, but it's not just that - Joe's planning trilogy #3 of same series. 9 books to bring them all. Here's complete statement: www.joeabercrombie.com/news/

True. Things with Ferro are still unknown, and her role in trilogy is not that big as roles of other characters.

elcid423 In reply to dejan-delic [2016-12-19 03:01:57 +0000 UTC]

Well, she did gain all that power after Bayaz set off that atomic bomb to defeat  the eaters.  I'm hoping we see more of her in the next series.  Do you think Jezal will find outhe has a kid from West's sister??

dejan-delic In reply to elcid423 [2016-12-19 22:16:41 +0000 UTC]

True, that was some blast by old geezer. Totally forgot how that last book in trilogy was bloody good.
Anyway, yes, hope to see Monza again too.

Dunno, it's quite possible. Abercrombie could fill some gaps with that part of the story, and create bigger hatred between Jezal and Glokta.

It's a difficult question. I think that I still like ASOIAF series in some way (although it's not finished, and god knows will it ever be, which is sad thing), but tv show GOT is something that I utterly don't like.

If you take a look ASOIAF folder in my gallery, you'll find that all illustrations are based on GRRM's books, not GOT. As for the book series, after I've discovered Steven Erikson's Malazan saga, everything is changed. I don't really care for ASOIAF or GOT anymore. Though it would be nice that GRRM stay remembered for his finished book series, not of some tv show abomination.

Oh, please don't get me wrong.  The book, by far is my favorite.  The show has gone completely off the reservation.  I am one of those "purists" that believes you should use the material that is already given you by the creator.  I hate when directors take "Artistic license" and use it as an excuse to change a story only to make it their own.  As far as GRRM is concerned, that man will probably keel over (god forbid) before he decides to finish this epic tale.

I've never read the Malazan saga, but I will have look it up now that you have mentioned it.

dejan-delic In reply to elcid423 [2016-12-21 22:16:38 +0000 UTC]

It's totally cool. It's just, I have a divided opinion when it comes to ASOIAF/GOT fandom, so I needed a longer explanation.
Agree with everything you've said. HBO is managed to ruin Martin's books in a terrible way...season after season is just getting worst and worst. I give up somewhere on S3 if I recall well, it was just too much for me.
IMO, I think that George just don't want to write anymore. He caughtg himself in a hole deeper than he expected it to be, and, when you take a look at the entire series so far, there's just no way he will end it in the two upcoming books.

As for the "Malazan Book of the Fallen" it's a ten books complete epic fantasy saga written by Steven Erikson, and if you're fond of the genre then you must read it. It's on the top of the epic fantasy. My highest recommendation.

Happy New Year!  I hope 2017 brings you many blessings of prosperity and abundance!  I was perusing Barnes & Noble and saw tha the Malazan book of the fallen series is 10 books long.  Quite and epic.  I'll be snagging the first book soon!  Have you had a chance to see the Assassin's Creed movie??

dejan-delic In reply to elcid423 [2017-01-03 10:16:57 +0000 UTC]

Oh, happy New Year too! Wish you all the best!

Yes, it's a 10 books long series, but what a series it is.
Trust me, it's totally worth of time and commitment.
It's a good thing that you're read ASOIAF and "The First Law" trilogy (and many more fantasy books, I'm sure) before Malazan.
Many first timers just couldn't get through the first book, and a lot of fantasy readers simply doesn't like Erikson's style.
For me it's the best saga ever written.
Erikson has a truly different approach in writing, and his style is so damn good. Let me know when you finish "Gardens of the Moon".

No, I didn't see it yet. It should be soon in my town's cinema, so I'll check it out then.
Did you watched it. Is it any good?

Hopefully this year will see me draw and post more!!

No, not yet.  I am hoping to see it this weekend.  I like Michael Fassbender.  He is a great actor.  I'll definitely give you my critique on the "Gardens of the Moon".  Yes, I have read many of the highly touted fantasy epics, especially the grandfather of them all, The Lord of The Rings.  That is absolutely my all time best series.  I even did my senior paper on JRR Tolkien when I was in High School.

Sure, just keep drawing!

Great! Can't wait to hear how you liked it.
Erikson has a bit unique and unusual writing style, and he puts you in the middle of the story from the very beginning, without telling you what's happening in the first place. No hands holding with this one, but if you get hooked with the "Gardens of the Moon" you'll love the rest of it.

Everything's fine, tnx for asking. You?
Tnx for the info, also. I've seen trailer, and it's looks interesting.
There's just one problem - I already follow a lot of TV shows,
and to add some extra it would be too much for me...in some time sure,
but for now it's simply impossible.

Yes.
And to add to all these facts large amount of books to read,
time for drawing and other social things,
some TV shows just must be cut from my life.
