When we're down or really depressed, sometimes all we have to do is look up..

Hmm... How should I start this?... Ok, well lately I've been having some depression issues. And one day at school, I woke up feeling really down... When I got to school I was eating breakfast in the cafeteria, and I look out the window and notice how bright the sun was. And all of a sudden it felt as if God was saying something like "Just keep your eyes on me, look up..." It was like the sun was a reminder to focus on the thing that I've been having such a hard time focusing on lately... my Savior Jesus! When this storm I'm going through first started around my 10th grade year, despite all that was going on I kept my eyes focused on Jesus. In many ways He has been helping me through this storm. But for some reason, lately I've been struggling with that....

Looking up that sun reminded me of how God is always there, even when all seems hopeless and even if I turn away... And it gave me this sense of hope, that there is always hope. "No matter how hard you try to keep it away, despair will attack you again and again. In the same matter, hope will return to you again and again" The sun also reminded of the things that are still good in life, "those rays of sunlight that peak through the storm clouds." And that it was the beginning of a new day!

And God inspired me to make this picture... To tell others, especially those who are struggling with things right now. No matter how hopeless something seems or how depressed you may be, sometimes all we have to do is look up.... And whatever you may be going through you are not alone! Just remember of the people in your life that care about you and love you... And the God who deeply cares too, sometimes all we really got to do is run to Him... There will be better days ahead. We cannot see that rainbow without alittle bit of rain. (I know that may sound alittle corny, but it is true.. )
