Description Arches National Park - Navajo Arch

Once through the tunnel way of Navajo Arch, you will be treated to a beautiful little box canyon perfect for scrambling around. Slightly reminiscent of Sand Dune Arch.

You obviously know your way around Arches NP. I live to see the little details attached to a photo.

Thanks!

I'm actually quite new and uninitiated compared to the real pros who have explored the park for years—yourself probably included. But the whole place is a worthwhile adventure and everything deserves a story.

I visited Arches and Canyonlands 15 times over the years. I used to drive there from the Atlantic Coast. I knew one retired Park Ranger who stayed on there and knew literally every inch of the Arches. He wrote the official guide books listing all the arches. Yet, hiking with him to see two recently discovered arches, I discovered a previously unknown arch and got the privilege of naming it. I called it 'Tent Peg Arch'. If you look in the second volume of the large grey guide, it is listed with my name.
I had many favorite hikes and trails in both parks and even used to take locals to places they had never seen.

I'd love to have a secret guide to all of these hidden places. The best parts of the park are usually off the map, found by word-of-mouth or a little careful exploration. I admire your determination to get out. Being a poor college student doesn't help me get out as much as I should like, but I intend to get as much info as possible for my next visit.

As a former poor college student, I sympathize. Just do not give up your explorations when you become a rich world traveler. What college? Mine was Louvain, in Belgium.

Oh, there will always be a time and a place for Moab.

I am currently attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. So, y'know...just up the street from Moab.
