Description I did this yesterday but I forgot to post it XDΒ

Im practicing drawing more realistic stuff especially animals but Im mainly trying focus on shading and shadows, Im also trying to expand the size in which I draw things on bigger sized paper for a college class...

Does anyone have any tips on how I can create these types of artworks on using larger notebooks as well as shading.

I used a pencil and a small piece of paper to shade with.

Wow that looks amazingly real! It's detailed and well done!

I"m I afraid I don't rally have any tips on how to work with bigger books.

But something that might help you is when you take pictures of your art to upload make sure you always have birght lighting (lighting is pretty good on this one though!) and sometimes it makes the picture look better if you crop out some edges of the page.

What are your weak points?

I have trouble drawing people even when Im looking at them, and sometimes I have to look at references for some animals.

Weak points....eh... for me...probably everything. XD anatomy, angles, functionally practical designs, etc. XD

Oh yeah... humans are definitely tough for me. I too also need references for animals... but I don't think that's a bad thing to be honest. There are soooooooooooooooo many different species and types in the world that we're obviously going to need references to make them look good. The animal kingdom is so full of varitey that I'd say it's actually a good thing we need references!

Okay the reference for animals I just realized is a pretty good point, I didn't even think of it like that

People in general are just hard to draw, especially facial expressions and some poses...Not gonna lie I'd rather use a picture to draw people too.

In my class, The model we have to draw is really mean and angry all the time...lol I can't deal.

I try to show a positive side!

I agree... it's a rare I ever find a humanΒ  I actually want to draw. XD

Oh no! I couldn't handle a mean model either XD

It's cool I just talk off my glasses in class becomes easier to draw him when Im focused on shadows and not his mean mug.

Animals think and do things differently from humans but are sentient none the less, they are very intelligent.
