What a many-faceted art!  you have an oustanding talent, that I envy... I feel so trapped in my old vision!

You don't give yourself enough credit; your vision is neither 'old' or a trap, - you are an artist. Your vision is the filter of your own life and experiences at this present moment. As you have grown, your vision has evolved and matured to something beautiful, but you are still growing and your beauty will continue to unfold.
Thank you for the way you have interacted so sincerely with me and with so many others. You are obviously a very special person.

JDG

I'm as surprised as delighted to read such comment! I'm not sure I deserve it but I'm always sincere.  Thank you, JDG, for so kind words!

I couldn't agree more.
Although I think both JDG and C-M
are each mature and effective in their respective
aesthetical visions. The representational
aesthetic, and its way of enhancing that
which we recognize so well -
even though we have not been in those places
chosen by the artist -by adding
palpable layers of emotion, is as artful
as "taking us where we have not been"(Kandinsky)
by another route, that represents by suggestion.
I believe that the semi-abstract is a
direct aesthetic descendant of Impressionism.
I love the idea of several of C-M's and JDG's
work both on my walls.

I wish I could achieve my belief
at some point that
I am an aesthetic heir of
Paul Delraux and JMW Turner...

Sorry for writing in french...It's easier!

Sidney, I haven't written "pretentious", but "ambitious"! Do you see the difference?  Let me tell you that I do prefer your art to Delvaux's , or even Turner's
one ! Did you notice rhat the BLUE is often ignored in the Turner's works? Not any blue forest...And I'm not esp.fond of Delvaux, eventhough they both are famous... .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            I like your style because  it's so different, anti-classic, mysterious and...how to say? ..digitally irritating! OK?        I like to torture the English language....
if you understand what I write....
But my not so bad English doesn't allow me to understand " ideosyncratic" ???
Please, stop jesting about our problems of language!  I don't want you to get a headache, and I don't appreciate Google transl. wich is mediocre.
So, I prefer your "worse English", if not too..impenetrable. ( In french, .hermétique)

ha... I understand.

I have also  tried to use google translate for German.
My German correspondent also said that she prefers
my ENGLISH to Google's version of German!

Why is google translate so bad...?
