Just stumbled upon your gallery. I think the seeminggly unfinishedness is the coolest aspect of this artwork. I am no big fan of photorealism, simply because there is photography and I always think to myself that art should depict the stuff that photos can't reproduce. I absolutely love this piece!

This is very well depicted photorealism. however, it looks unfinished... is it a wip? if so I whould love to see it when it is. The woman looks happy, and her eyes are glistening in a eay to suggest she is going to start crying. I love the details like the lines around her eyes. the only thing is, her hand is very flat looking and beneath her face there is only white. #ArtistsInTheMaking

Thank you for your comments. You are correct, there is no modelling in the hands and the lower portion has no application. It was a commission used for a fundraiser in which someone made a bid on having their portrait done with all the proceeds going to a particular charity. Within the time constraints, it became obvious that it would not be possible to bring it all to a finished level, so it became a 'vignette'.
