I haven't got a lot of experience with abstract or surreal art, but sometimes attempting to express raw impressions or emotions in a scene in such a 'direct' way gives me a lot of satisfaction. Alla prima, with no restraint on using lots of paint, disregarding the 'rules' and just going where the paint tells me; it might not make a lot of sense or appeal to a lot of people, but it's cathartic and recharges me. It is meant to represent emerging from somewhere/something to have your eyes opened to a new plain of possibility (the sunset)... there are a couple more specific, personal aspects that inspired this, but I'd rather leave it to the imagination.

Oh that's really good mate! I love that a lot!!! As long as it's something  you're comfortable with, then it's something to behold! Many artists did what style they wanted to do, and they became great in many ways! You got a lot of talent, and I look forward to seeing more soon!!!
