The body and the belly are made from the very same piece of fabric. I discovered that it turned striped when the hairs were brushed in the opposite direction. :3

How big was the largest owl plushie you've made?

Was it more or less complicated to make if you compare it to the smaller sized ones?

Large owls take longer, since there is a lot more fur that needs to be trimmed around all the edges. On the other hand, the larger size makes it more easy to make the beak, which is the smallest part in the owl pattern. :3

Do you use a sewing machine?

For some larger parts I do, although I prefer hand sewing over using the machine for several reasons.

You do? Did you use sewing machine for those pangolin plushies?

Using the sewing machine can save a lot of time and in the chibi pangolin's case, the pattern have some machine friendly parts and the fabric itself is easy to handle as well, because it doesn't shift around a lot. The large pangolin plush is sewn fully by hand. I dislike the machine, because it is painful for me to use it (I have very thin skin on my hands and the machine electrocutes me everytime I use it XD) and often the fabric in the lower level will shift, so it doesn't sew along the intended line and I have to redo it, or I end up just sewing it in hand.

Ohh I can imagine what a nightmare job was it to finish the big pangolin fully by hand!

It was. I have some behind the scene pictures of its assembly. Very backwards for a plush and deciding to sew on each scale was pure madness. Nearly destroyed my hands working on it and had to put in a month's rest, before my hands had recovered enough from the strain for me to finish him.

Ouch! And I wonder just how could you stay so patient and focused to finish it. Was it before or after you made the chibi ones?

Before. I was eager to see if I could do it. :3

Haha! xD Lets just say that I'm ambiguous, and I couldn't get the thought out of my head. And at some point I had come too far to look back. Later chibi pangolins have far less scales and they're glued on. %D
