I sketched one of these a few months ago in a (now missing) sketchbook. It may have been from a dream. I imagine they’d guard some desert palace/videogame dungeon. What remains behind that spherical gold helm is a mystery, although they have been seen to spew a fine white smoke on occasion. There is no mystery as to what the dented mace on the tail is for.
I haven’t really sat down and put detail into a bit of art for a while now, so I’m quite pleased with myself for committing to it. Those scales were a pain, but were worth it in the end.
Probably didn’t use as much reference material as I should have…
